Madras hc orders jaya government to reinstate sacked welfare

In a major setback to the ruling AIADMK, the Madras High Court today ordered immediate reinstatement of all the 12,600-odd 'Makkal Nala Paniyalargal (People Welfare Workers) sacked by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa recently.

When the petitions filed by the People Welfare Workers Munnetra Sangam came up for hearing, Ms Justice K Suguna directed the State Government to reinstate all the sacked workers tomorrow morning itself.

It also directed Advocate General Navaneethakrishnan to submit a report to the Court by 1430 hrs on November 23 on whether the workers were reinstated and resumed their work.

All the workers were appointed by the previous DMK regime and they fell victim to political vendetta for the third time.

During the previous DMK regime, then Chief Minister M Karunanidhi appointed 13,000 People welfare workers to serve the people in rural areas and about 12,600 were working in various parts of the state.

What a fast relief, by honorable HC. And HC is asking to confirm by next day!

If all courts act like this, there shall be no prolonged and protracted litigations and executions.

Thanks for posting, Sir.
