Judge asking for settlement in a pcr case

I had filed a PCR in a loan fraud case in a Magistrate case.  After so much effort the magistrate accepted the case, but my advocate did not attend court for 2 consecutive dates and source statements could not be done.  When my advocate was absent, the judge spoke to me and asked for settling the matter in lok adalat.  From then onwards, the judge is insisting on settling the matter.  My PCR is just pending for a long time, source statement could not be done.  The accused has political and police support due to his regular payments.

The judge also spoke about the political clout the accused is having and the difficulties I may face in court and told me to settle the matter.

There's no compulsion on you to accept the instructions of judge on a oral statement.

You can refuse to compromise if you are not interested in the peace talks or settlement out of court
