Can one nominate his son as beneficiary instead of his wife officially or through will after ten years of retirement in Indian state pension?

It is not necessary that wife / husband of the employee has to be his/ her nominee, it can be son / daughter or anyone else can be nominated.

By overlook I erroneously posted incorrect information on the same subject you had posted in a different thread.

I tried to modify the same but the website is not allowing modifications.

However my correct opinion is given below

male subscriber can add his spouse, children, dependent parents, and the widow and children of his deceased son as nominees to his NPS account. Meanwhile, a female can add her spouse, children, dependent parents, spouse's dependent parents, and the widow and children of her deceased son.

first of all penson is not a property worth WILL.

wife will get pension after death of retired person for remaining part of her life.

sone can get pension only after death of wife that too, if he is :-

  1. he is below 24 years of age and he is not employed and not married
  2. if he is above 24 years of age and incapable of earning (or earning less than rsa 9000 pm) and that the fact of his incapacity/dependancy is mentioned in PPO
