Dear Sir,

Land alienated to society-society members were occupied their share of land - some vancantbit not allotted to any member - society registration was cancelled - my client was purchased that vacant bit as sivai (poramboku land and registered the same - now some society members orgued that the vacant plot belongs to them even the society registration was cancelled - Now I.A. and O.S. is pending at court - please explain with judgememnts

Subsequent cancellation of the society registration does not extinguish the rights of the society members to claim the land because the land was given to society before its cancellation of registration. Since originally the land in its entireity was alloted to the society, society which is composed of society members have full right over the entire portion of the land and any vacant bit also belongs to the society members as a whole, though not alloted specifically to any member. Your client has no right.
