I am a Divorcee, I got re-married to another Divorcee with child from her first marriage. As a step-father, I would like to adopt the child and change her last name in her birth certificate. Please suggest me how I can do it legally?

After her adoption you file an application to make necssary correction to the concerned officer. If he did it it z ok otherwise you will have to file a suit for mandatory injunction by following the procedure u/s 80 of CPC
