Appeal to divorce where to file

Respected Sirs

My Son's Divorce Petitiion was dismissed on 30/06/2023. and his wife's RCR is allowed on the same day.

The trial went in Sub Court, Thiruchengode, Tamil Nadu. Since we donot lhave Family court at Thiruchegode we

have to file the divorce petition in Sub Court , Thiruchengode.

We want to go for Appeal.

To whom we have to file the appeal

a) Additional District Judge, Thiruchegode (or)

b) High Court of Madras.

Please clarify.

@Querist,

From your question, it appears that the sub-judge has been conferred with power DJ/Prinicipal Family court at your place. Therefore, the first appeal would be in High court.

Appeal against dismissal order of divorce petition will lie before High Court of Madras.
