Write a letter to the concerned local police station and mark its copy to the Supritendent of Police citing the reasons/threat perception you are apprehending by and on behalf of your in laws.

Mr.Daksh is right, but after filing the letter to the SSP, if other party will approach to the police, then we all are aware how police behave and where they see the money, they bent towards that side and this the real fact. Therefore, you have to contact any lawyer immediately. He will help u properly and it is only one day procedure. So you will get protection from High Court within one day and then even police will not bent toward other side and even can guard your house to protect your life.
