Hello..
Toady is 12th Feb 2024...We have a commercial property that was rented 1 year ago. The court agreement was done in February 2023 for a period of 5 years with a lock in period of 2 years. Now after an year, the tenant wants to vacate the property. He hasn't paid the rent for the current month and is asking us to adjust in the security amount which he has paid for two months. My query is.. can he legally leave within lock-in period? Also he's saying that he will leave by 31st March 2024 but is not providing any officail notice, just saying it verbally..and not paying the rent also for the same...
What action can I take... My parents are totally dependent on rental income ..
