Aadhaar Card as Address Proof

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has notified that the Aadhaar Card is a valid proof for opening of a bank account under the Know Your Customer (KYC) scheme.

RBI vide its circular dated 28.09.2011 has advised banks to accept the Aadhar letter issued by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) as an officially valid document for opening bank accounts without any limitations applicable to small accounts. Further, the RBI has also advised the banks vide its circular dated 10.12.2012 that if the address provided by the account holder is the same as that on Aadhaar letter, it may be accepted as a proof of both identity and address.

Why Aadhar letter is only a valid document of proof of identity not a proof of citizenship while the citizen of India has same card like VIC(ECI) & PAN Card (ITD),as a proof of identity & address.

also we cannot get the proof of date of birth means that one should seek another ways or another cards with him to show the proof of his idnetity

Why Aadhar letter is only a valid document of proof of identity not a proof of citizenship while the citizen of India has same card like VIC(ECI) & PAN Card (ITD),as a proof of identity & address. Which card provide identity of citizen of India.

many people yet to get aadhar cards.there is no proper supervision or mechanisim to provide aadhar cards.it should be continues processto be available like PAN cards.

my adhar enrolment slip does not show my mobile number and e-mail address. the staff say that data can be altered or entered only with in three months of enrolment which is over . how to correct the error? /
