There is no illegality in it if both the employers don't object to it or if there's no restriction in the employment offer letter for being employed in two companies simultaneously without hampering each other work.

It is important to know that moonlighting in India is legal but regulated by laws on working hours, intellectual property rights, and tax obligations to help avoid legal implications.
You can receive a salary from two different companies if you are legally allowed to work for both of them. However, you need to disclose this to both companies and make sure you are not violating any contract or employment agreement.
Secondly, to claim the benefits of PF contribution with two or more companies, you will have to share the same UAN number with the other company also where in they can record the contribution. Hence both the companies can extend you the benefits of PF but on the same PF account..
