Are there two kinds of reports that cibil issues.

Does CIBIL issue a different report to the consumer when he buys the report by paying the requisite fees

and a different report to the bank which queries the report of the same consumer from the CIBIL database.

Is this correct. Are there different reports issued to the consumer who pays and another one when the same

consumer want a loan from a bank, then the bank comes out with a report which is totally different internally

but the control number is the same. In both cases the consumer is the same. Is there any remedy against the

bank who posts incorrectly on cibil site about consumer which dates back to 10-12 years i.e., when cibil started

and never updated the record on CIBIL.

The member banks submit periodic reports to credit bureaus like CIBIL.

IT is dynamic process.

If member has posted wrong facts that have caused hardships, loss to customer/citizen then one can agitate and claim damages/compensation from member.

Customer/citizen can also ask for credit report from Bank against a nominal fee as per RBI guidelines.

The bank where application for loan has been put up says that CIBIL report shows an entries

dated back to year 2007 which does not allow them to give the loan. They do not want to give the details

of this entry. But the customer had bought the report from CIBIL in year 2015 paying fees and in his report

obtained from CIBIL there is no such mention of  any record.

Can CIBIL maintain two control numbers for the same person. One he issues to the consumer and

another he issues to the financial institution.
