Bachelor of General law

Hello mentors

 

 I am pursing the bachelor of general law from Annamalai university . It's thru correspondence . Can somebody let me know the career prospects after that.

You    have  many     options    like     practising    law,  law    firms,service  etc..

With a BGL degree you can not be enrolled as an Advocate and can not practice law . There is no correspondence course by any university which is recognised by BCI which would give license to practice law. You can try some jobs in legal fields

yes. U can verymuch associates with lawyers by helping desk work.

u can remain associated with a lawyer, u can do office management and drafting work....but sorry u wont be able to appear in the court to conduct cases, for that u need professional degree.


even corporate sector would demand LL.B professional.

Well I would suggest , you to pursue an PG. Diploma course IPR / Cyber laws and try for an LPO jobs.

BGL doesnt entitle anyone for enrollmentas an advocate and to practice in courts because as per advocates act , LLB or BALLB is required

u may verify mr. vasu's advice. i think he is right. no university would confer any degree which is of no use. so far working in advocates' office is concerned any body  without LL.B degree can be associated. it all drepends appon policies of that advocate or his firm.
