Bank employee will be treated as central govt employee ?

Dear Sir/Mam

I am working in a Nationalised Bank (bank of baroda) and i have applied for UPPSC (Upper PCS 2016) exam.
In it's advertisement, about interview information it is written ((Candidates serving under the Central or State Government will have to produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer at the time of interview issued by the competent authority ))

Many times it has been stated in Paliament by many Honourable Ministers of Central govt that bank personnel shall not be compared and equated with central government employees, as the service conditions, wage accords, their tenure etc. of these two classes of employees are totally different from each other .

Nationalised Bank employees will be treated as central govt employee or PSU Employees ???

With Regards

If that is what the notification says, then NOC is not required. But since it is matter of your career, it would be better to take an NOC. Unless, you dont want to inform your bank.

1) Nationalized Banks are not considered as Central Government Employees, but Publi Sector Undertakings earlier wholly now partially owned by Government of India in the instant case BoB.

2) The context u stated in respect of wages is different.  The Banks are governed by Bipartite Settlements and that of Central Govenment by PRC.

3) U have to produce NOC at the time of intereview as Nationalized Banks are quazi Government Organizations.
