Scenario:
We and our grandmother, stayed for nearly 40 years at a rented place. The building went under reconstruction and as per agreement it would transferred in my grandmother's name as "Ownership" Flat after construction.
Our grandmother expired few months back. In her will she has nominated my father name for the Property/Flat to be transferred too.
We have got NOC from brothers and sisters on Rs. 100 stamp paper for transfer of flat in my father's name.
Owner of the rented flat/building is builder himself.
Documents handed over to builder are as follows:
- Death certificate of my grand mother
- Noc from brothers and sisters
Problem:
Builder is not ready to transfer the property in our name. Builder finding ways to delay the work.
Example: We have mentioned my grandmother as "Owner" of the flat in the NOC from brothers and sisters. Builder says where I have transferred the flat in your grandmother's name that you have mentioned "owner".
I replied: My grandmother is the "Owner of the rented flat" and that is why I have just mentioned grandmother as "Owner".
As I used get rent receipt in her name.
Question:
How can we speed up the process and get the property transferred in my Father’s name?
