i am a common man not related to law anyway. i want to know that police are displaying the criminals(not proved in court) before media and telling what sort of crime they did is legally allowed???? as they crime against them is not proved. it damages the reputation of that person in society, are there any laws which protect them from this situation

Yes. Definitely infringing the right of accused to be treated innocent till convicted. Further, in some cases where TIP - test identification parade is required, accused loses opportunity. It violates Art. 20 and 21 of COI.
