Encumberance certificate correction

I am a 3rd buyer of one residential plot in Nellore.   Recently it was observed that there was a duplication of registration for my property in 1999 by GPA holder of absolute owner.   The same property was registered in 2001 to my 3rd seller.  When I approached absolute owner he said 1999 transaction was cancelled and settled the amt to the buyer.  But unable to trace the docs. either in registrar office nor with absolute owner.  The 1999 buyer also not traceable  and this 1999 transaction is still reflecting in EC.  As We are neither able to trace the buyer of 1999 nor cancelllation proof,  what is the alternate solution I have to claim my ownership and get this EC be removed with 1999 entry.

I have approached one advocate locally.  He said through court it is a lengthy process to get this done.  Hence suggested to trace out 1999 buyer but I am in vain as for the last 1 month trying to trace them.
