An interesting fact was observed in one of the reputed private sector banks of the region.The employees are required to take permission from their reporting managers , if they leave their place of posting on holidays or sundays !!! They have to report to work on sundays and holidays without any extra pay.Though these practices are common among the private players in the industry, this bank went a tad ahead , when one of the business heads issued a official mail to the whole region enforcing the doctrine by letter and spirit. Above all ,the Regional Head APPROVED the decision and it has got implemented in letter and spirit !!!
The Regional HR managers are also in loop on this particular issue!!!
The question is can a organisation do this ???
Can the employees get justice if they submit a copy of the email to a proper authority on basis of anonymity ??
