Forcible dispossession

Pursuant to an written agreement to sell, the landlord has delivered the possession of the land to us after receiving full consideration. Now, he is refusing to execute/register the sale deed. We have, therefore, filed a suit for specific performance of contract. We have prayed for an injunction against the landlord. Such an order is awaited.

We have a office and two staff quarters in the said premises. But, the landlord denies the fact of delivery of possession and claims himself to be in peaceful possession of the land. We have a fear of forcible dispossession by the landlord. What steps can we take in order to protect our possession?

Thanks in advance.
