If this is a New Loan, granted between April 2013 to March 2014 , then if the below mentioned conditions are satisfied, then the balance 45,000 (I.e 1,95,000 - 1,50,000) can also be claimed under section 80EE Of Income tax Act. This is a new section inserted by Finance act 2013 & Applicable for Financial year 2013-14, Where you can claim Additional House loan interest up to Rs. 1,00,000.

Dear Murali,
If the house is let out, then you can claim Rs. 195000/- u/s 24/ However, if it is self-occupied then max. interest benefit is Rs. 150000/-. However benefit u/s 80EE is also available for the remaining Rs. 45000/- provided the conditions laid down in the section are met.
