How to get copy of proceedings of a case

My grandfather purchased land but the promissory note was not registered but our family has occupation of that land. My uncle is contesting the case probably in the session court. I need to see the status of case and the strength in it. For that i need the copy of proceedings of this case but my uncle may not like to show it to me for many reasons. Can i get the copy of proceedings directly from court as a grandchildren of the person who purchased the land originally. What will be application format and process and fee etc ................ thanking you in advance jagdish
