Is it legal_advice

Sub: Clarification on issue where govt employ working for other organizations out of his office timings.

Sir, I,Srinu P, want to know that is it legally permissible, If Govt employ works for other organization other than his/her office timings.

I came across some good coaching institutes stating that their faculty includes group A service people and highly prestigious university faculties. They are attending these out of their office timings, of course not disturbing their primary job.

Say example: Govt doctor does practice in evening and night, likewise faculties and other officers doing these activities in evening and on holidays.

Could you please suggest me this with supporting case studies whether it is right or against to law.Thanking you for your kind attention.

Govt servants cannot work even in their spare time in any other organisation.  Even medical doctors working in Govt of India are given anon-practising allowance.
