Is it legal to sell branded surplus in india??

Garments are bought from exporter's/export house surplus and sold further into the indian market, without label's being cut out. If its illegal then what's the legal way of reselling surplus??

unless you have the bill and clearly mentioned that the goods so branded or labeled are being sold toyou as stock lot ot export surplus, you can not sell the btanded garments or any other item, The manufacturer may ignore but ifhe complains that you are selling his branded products without your permission, you could fort sure land in trouble

If you do not have clear bills from the authorized distributor & of course you will need permission from the brand owner or representative (from the respective region)towards the clearance from the customs department. Usually this is a case of Parallel import or counterfeit. Goods which are meant to sell in Thailand / Bangkok / China etc., they have been manufactured to be sold in those countries. If you bring them to India and sell it is a clear case of parallel import. It would be treated as offense there could be criminal charges, raiding your shops etc., For more details, contact Nagaraj www.iplexglobal.in
