Land dispute

I along with my brother in law purchased a residential plot in Ludhaina in 1992. I paid for half of it. But it was written in the registration (done in my absence) that I will be getting the front portion and I will have to give up a 15 feet wide passage from the front road to their land. Now my brother in law is selling his land. He wants us now to give him a passage in the back as well (back of my land and his front portion). My question is

(i) Can the buyer legally claim the front passage ( as agreed in the registration) anytime in the future?
(ii) Is their any legal way of making changes in the registration so that my rights are protected?
