Property owners abuse

If we vent out the frustration against any home owner in any of the public forums, is that punishable under law?

Meaning, if we provide even the address and other details while writing about the owner, can the owner file a 'defamation' suite against us?

If we have to post the details as said above, to the benefit of future tenants, what are the steps to be followed?
