Stamp Paper

When I went to buy a stamp paper of Rs.20, the vendor told me that stamps papers of the denomination of Re.1, Rs.2, Rs.5, Rs.10, Rs.20 have been discontinued and I had to buy the stamp paper of Rs.50.

After a month, I went to be told that even Rs.50 stamp paper has been discontinued and only Rs.100 stamp paper is now available.

From birth to death, government wants documents to be executed on stamp paper of one kind or other. This is the backdoor way of collecting revenue and we can't do a thing.

For what purpose you required the stamp paper? for BIRTH, DEATH certificates we need only rs.10/- stamp paper. If you want to submit for a certified copy the registering authority can issue such copies instead of stamp paper, by affixing 20 rs. CF stamp. Though the commission for such small amount stamp papers the vendors used to refuse the issue of smaller denominations
