what is the time bar and law of limitation?
i had worked as a civil subcontractor for a company in the year 2005 and 2006, for which the last payment recd from the said company was in june 2006 and spme amount was outstanding, the work was completed in 2006
after the work was completed , strangely an MOU was prepared and signed in 2008
where it is said that the company has to pay me the outstanding figures, which are due since nearly 2 years but he has not been able to pay me due to some cash crunch
in 2008, i got a work and gave him subcontract
so now... we both have to give and take money from each other
in 2010 i sent him a letter that i have waited for many years for my payments from you, but there was no response, so i have no option but to withold (temporary block) the amount which i have to pay you, until you pay me first
now the matter is in dispute
is my claim for my work done time barred???, the work was done in 2006, last payment recd in june 2006,but MOU accepting the outstandings made in 2008 and first letter written to them to block their money until they pay me my outstandings first was in 2010
