Urgent advice neded on property dispute

I own an 8-acre farmland purchased from X in 2017. X bought the land from Y in 2007. Y had a patta document from 1981, paid property taxes, and cultivated the land until selling it to X in 2007. The patta was transferred from Y to X and then from X to us.

We have tax payment receipts spanning 40 years and all legal documents are clear from 1981 onward. However, there's no documentation on how Y acquired the patta in 1981

Now, after 43 years, Mr. A is claiming ownership of the property based on a document registered in 1960

Kindly advise me on how to handle this situation, as we are now afraid of losing the property pls.

Has A filed a suit for recovery of property?

If so, are you a defendant?

Did you obtain a legal opinion before buying this property?

You have to catch hold of your vendor to clear this litigation because it is his mistake that he didn't verify the title of his vendor.

Now you may have to fight it out on merits based on adverse possession.

Payment of property tax and holding patta do not confer title (ownership) of the subject land.

If the owner (titleholder) of the land has filed a suit, contest it through a local prudent lawyer.

"Now, after 43 years, Mr. A is claiming ownership of the property based on a document registered in 1960"

What is the nature of the document he is relying upon? Has he filed a civil suit? If so, what are the reliefs he is seeking?
