Vakalatnama

In Divorce Petition u/s 13 HMA, the Petitioner/ Husband has questioned the authenticity of VAKALATNAMA on the

ground that the Respondent / Wife could not have signed the same because she lives abroad. He has moved

application for declaring the Vakalatnama null and void.

In fact, before leaving India, the wife anticipated litigation, so executed Vakalatnama and handed over to

counsel.

Please suggest how to oppose the application.

No need to defend, it is their baby to prove otherwise that the Vakalatnama is fake and not genuine.

The date of signing the vakalatnama would reveal the person's availability by providing the passport entry details.
