Validity of a notarized document

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am applying for a visa to Australia. I had initially started the process of applying to Australia in 2016 but due to some family problems my process got postponed to this year. I had initially got some job reference letters notarized in the year 2016. These documents explain my roles and responsibilities which was recognized  by my senior and was verified and sworn before the attorney on a date in 2016(sometime like April - June). These job references shows my experiences in my previous companies. I had to do this becuase the company did not have any such format on the letter head to give the roles and responsibilities. I recently approached my Notary and was notified that the notarized documents have a six months validity and the previous documents are no longer valid. Wanted to confirm if this is true as this process took a lot of time for me get and I am a little skeptical reaching out to people again for the same.

Better produce recently attested documents to get easy processing
