Can husband ask for maintenance

can a husband ask his wife for maintenance

1. if both wife and husband is equally qualified.

2. due to some reason husband is job less for 1 year.

3. wife is having a land worth 5 lack , which she purchesd by the money she got from her husband by out of court settelment , a mutual consent divorce is in process.

note: the marriage last just for 6 months and no physical relation.

when a person is capable for earning and well educated, no maintenance can be claimed.

if a person is well qualified and in the position to maintain himself then court will not pass any maintenance amount in his favour .

Dear Querist

when the mutual consent divorce is in process then the parties can not claim maintenance from each other, if there is no close in settlement regarding the maintenance then only the husband may file an application u/s 24 of Hindu marriage act and claim maintenance, but due to this application the mutual consent divorce case may be withdraw by wife.
