Cbse change of names

Dear Lawyers,

My son is going to appear for his CBSE Class 12 exams in 2015. In his Class X marksheet and Certificate  his mother's name (my name) has been listed as my former married name (I was a widow)

I have recently got married again and changed my name to my new husband's name. I have requested the school to enter the same in the registration for my son's class 12 board exams. They tell me that it is not acceptable, even though I have the affidavits and newspaper cuttings and even updated my passport of my new name.

Please give me a solution. By today, they have already registered the names (same as in Class X) and I am so upset. What can I do to rectify this? Please, someone help me.

Thank you,

Geraldine

As per recent amendment of the law, the father name need not mention in the school records. But mother name can be consider. Mother name can be registered.
