Change of name

Dear Members, we have purchased property in the name of the company in 1978 and the same was registered through sale deed. in 2005 we have changed the company name from ABC Supplies pvt ltd to ABC LTD. now we wanted to change the company name in sub-regisrar office. what is the procedure. can we change the name? this is not a mistake so that we can execute a rectification deed. thanks
