Dear Mr.Singh,

I believe with lot of confidance on you the management might have entrusted the job of officer to you & they may be observing you whether you can take care of the higher responsibility or not hence my sincere suggestion is instead of approaching legally or somewhere else better talk to your HOD, seniors / HR and communicate them about your expectations & efforts.

Basing on their reply you can approach further but I opine that if you approach directly with the statutory / legal authorities there is every chance of saying that you are not entrusted the job of officer because they have not given you in writing and may keep you in your original position.

Pl take the advise of your welwishers / seniors /professional and proceed.

Mr. Kameswarao has given valuable advice. Kindly follow it.

While in employment, an employee who is able to resolve matters amicably by applying rapport, goodwill, persuasion, persistence, negotiation, reasoning abilities is a wise employee. In today’s business environment employee must acquire exceptional levels of rapport building, persuasion, persistence, negotiation, reasoning skill.

Although OT, extra allowance/benefits are desirable at your end, so is your effort to take up the matter wisely with your line management and as the benefits are of the nature you can genuinely aspire they can work out ways and means to award you the same and reward you too for the shouldering additional responsibilities, in the shape and manner of appreciation letter/mails, trophy, medal, R&R, certificate, appreciation in forum of employees etc. If you are able to earn a promotion, your case is likely to be circulated PAN India as a role model case which can help you in future ventures as well.

Recruiters, employers are inclined to hire professionals to have worked their way up and have crossed the floors. You should get your dues without denting your image.
