One of my friends is mentioned as prosecution witness in a criminal case. The case has come up for evidence. My friend does not want to give evidence in the case. What is the procedure to close the evidence without him going to witness box.

kindly note that.
1. if witness summons is issued in name of said witness by said criminal court, it is advisible to appear before court on given date and tell the court actual facts if he does not no anything about the case. He should record his evidence before court.
2. But in case summons is issued by court in name of said witness and he remains absent then on next date court will issue warrant of arrest of said witness and police will produce him before court for evidence. please note.
