Hello Everyone,
I left a ITES company 2.9 years ago without serving notice period. Three days before leaving the organization, I sent an email to my immediate supervisors informing them about my intension to leave the company so as to allow them to sometime to take the handovers from me. Then received a response from the VP saying that notice period is mandatory, HR will mark me as abscond (which I'm okay with) and with no mention about taking handover.
Now I have contacted the HR team (around 10 days ago) asking for relieving\experience letter and they simply keep saying that because I have absconded, they are yet to take decision on it. My questions are:
1) Aren't they suppose to give me a relieving\experience letter inspite of me being absconding? I have no concern if they mention me going absconding.
2) If they are not coming back to me with whatever the decision is, is there a way I can force them to do?
3) If they deny to provide me the required documentation, what are the options?
4) If they ask for compensation, am I correct in assuming that it should be equal to the basic salary of the notice period that I haven't served?
Thank you in anticipation.
