Conviction in s.138 ni act

Dear All Experts,

Plese clarify,if accused  convicted in s.138 ni act by the trial court needs to pay fine and cheque amount immediatly  or accused can go for appeal with out paying.

If it is fine you have to pay first otherwise no stay for conviction. If compansation say on some terms say part deposit in court.
