My father have been accused of embezzlement by the son of his partner in a e-mail correspondence. The same e-mail has been sent to other partners of the firm and one retired partner of the firm. Can he sue for defamation?

@Sudhir Kumar the allegations are false, we even asked him to present evidence in support of his allegations and he has failed to do so.
