Dear Experts,
The department of labour and employment of government of tamil nadu publishes the minimum dearness allowance payable to the industrial workers effective from 1st April of every year based on the average price index of chennai city for the previous calender year. As on 1.4.2013 it is 970 points (1982=100)
Please clarify whether the dearness allowance for every raise of points over and above the merged (970) points has to be passed to the worker then and there.
Say, for e.g., if the point as on 30.04.13 is 971 points, whether the benefit of the same has to passed to the worker for the month of April '13.
Please clarify with certain illustrations.
