Distant agrement

Hi Experts,

I am going to take an apartment on rent. But the owner of the apartment stays in a different state and does not have a plan to come and he is willing to make the agreement distantly.

Is it possible to make this agreement? If yes, then what document is needed for that?

Thanks

Ask him to give power to his representative by executing special power deed  for entering into rental agreement with you. On the strength of such power deed, you can enter into a rental agreement with the power holder of the owner.

Thanks Saleema,

His representative is here is a broker. The owner is saying that he will sign the agreement and send it to me by courier.. Then i need to sign and send it back to him. The agent will sign as a witness. Is it possible. Please guide me.

Yes it is sufficient if broker sign the document as witness but you have keep duplicate which would be that of original
