Dual income

Dears,

Our head office based at Qatar, they have transfered Project Manager to India Operations, The issue is he is partly paid by India Company which comes under taxation and partly paid in Qatar in Qatari Riyals. He is full time Project Manager (Indian National) working in india.

Kindly advice whether his secondment income comes under taxation or not.

regards,

If the person has earned income abroad by working abroad, that income is not taxable in India as on current rules even if salary is credited in Indian bank account. The income earned abroad will be taxed in that coutnry. India sdoes not have doube taxation. But if Servcies are rendered in India for whole financial year then the entire salary is taxable in India  irrespectve of where it is credited.
