Duration for appeal in high court

It is very unfortunate that my divorce case at district family court has been dismissed and the hard copy of the order is not disclosed.I would like to know what is the minimum and maximum duration that we can go for appeal at state high court after receiving the order.Kindly give guidance

You can prefer an appeal before high court within three months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of the judgement of the trial court.

It is 30 days time to file an appeal before High Court against an order / judgment passed by Family Court.

Sorry Vashista Sir, I stand corrected, yes, the  limitation for appealing a family court decision to the high court is 30 days from the date of the judgment or order.

However, if there is a sufficient cause, the delay can be condoned under Section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963.
