1. Can one take education certificate of an employee as a bond.
2. A some thing like a Service aggrement along with educational certificate.
Does indial law or labour law permit the above two

The terms of employment is purely contractual in nature. The problem is most of the persons sign the contract/bond even though they are fully aware of the terms of the contract. And the whole issue rakes up only when they wanted to leave the company for better prospects. At the first instance, the employee should not at all have entered into the job if the certifcates were sought from him.
