Firm's liabilities over vehicles

I own a medium enterprise and am planning to buy a few vehicles for business purposes.

What liabilities does a business entity take when it buys vehicles and gives them out to employees.

For instance, if I allocate a vehicle to person A and that person ends up getting involved in a hit-and-run case, what sort of ramifications will that lead to, for my business?

Thank you for your replies.

Criminal Liability will be attributed to the driver, in case of any negligence, crime etc...

Civil liability like compensation will fall on the owner, which can be offset by ensuring full insurance without any lapse.
