Hello i have been charged under Forgery criminal case ..but i only signed as witness
1 . Land owner had provided Power of attorney and banakat to party no.1
2 : Party no.1 then sold the land to party no.2 via sale deed (dastavej)
3 : I signed as witness in sale deed when party no.1 sold to party no.2
4 : Land owner expired and his son alleged that his fathers signature as false so FIR was registered
5 : My lawyer has filled a discharge application to remove my name in the case as the alleged forgery was done in Power of attorney and banakat and i was not involved in any of that part...
So please help me with any advice or high court or supreme court judgments that say that witnesses cannot be procecuted ..i can use them in my dismiss court hearing...
