If a residential property in Mumbai is being gifted to an individual by his mother's mother (maternal grandmother) then at what rate the stamp duty should be calculated. Does the son & maternal grandmother satisfy lineal descendent relationship.
I want to know whether stamp duty is 2% or 5% for above gift by maternal grandmother to his grandson.
