Grounds of bail

One of my friends Himanshu was charged for a murder & half murder cases along with arms act in 2018.He was accused of sections 34,302 and 307 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) 1860 & under sections 25,54,59 of Indian Arms Act . But none of them were proven by the Police Investigation. Later in 2020, he was detained for a period of 60 days. Within this period the full completion of TIP took place and the eye-witness refused to identify Himanshu as one of the accused. On what grounds Himanshu should be granted bail or would he be imprisoned for a higher period?

Good evening, Since there was no proof regarding his participation in the act, and also because the witness turned hostile (meaning that the words of the witness are contrary to that of what the lawyer says, and/or if the witness talks in a way that supports the opposite party), the accused will be granted bail on those grounds, and will not he imprisoned for more days. Regards, Nandini.
