Help !!! releiving letter

HI,

 

I am in urgent need of suggestion.

I am working with a Top Tier IT company and Served my notice period , The company X filed for my US visa and I have valid H1B visa stamp on my passport but unfortunately i lost / Misplaced my passport.

On the last working day when i went for clearance to get my releiving letter the HR personnel did not provide my releiving letter stating you should submit the passport as we need to revoke your H1B visa , untill you submit the passport we cannot provide you releiving letter.

Count you please suggest how should i deal with and get my releiving letter

It seems that company is right in asking for your co operation to revoke the visa.

You may lodge a FIR for loss of passport and apply for duplicate.

Before that you can inform your company in writing that you have lost your passport and what steps it would like you to take for revoking the visa ask for its reply in writing.

Later if they have demanded you can provide them a copy of FIR and acknowledgment of duplicate passport application.

The HR contact is also duty bound to follow the rule book is such a case.
