How to make correction in filed petition in court

Hi All,

I have filed a petition in court and appearing Party-In-Person.

In that petition these is a mistake like in place of petitioner, respondent is mentioned. And one place one spelling is giving differnt meaning to the sentence.

Please advice me the procedure to make those corrections in the petition. Present status of the petition is, counter is served to respondent, respondent has to file counter in the next hearing.

Mr Munirathnam

Dont worry nothing adverse will happen if u are appearing and contesting ur case in person... although u ought to know these technical things before filing....

any how u can amend the memo of parties by filing an amended memo of parties and along with that also file an application under order 6 rule 17....CPC....and file ur amended plaint with all necessary changes u want to make.....also mention in ur application that no hardship would be caused if u make such changes to the defendants....and aslo mention the changes u are making in ur application as well that u intend to change X word in para No. Y of you plaint .......etc...and after the amendment/ changes the Para No. Y may be reads as follows....... like that ..

dont withdraw ur case .......on this ground alone....file application o 6 r 17

hope it would solve ur purpose....
