Is legal officer is an advocate?

HI

I am about to Finish my LL.B. I have an option of getting Job as a "Legal Officer" for a company , who can do writs, pleading etc.  Can I still maintain as Advoacte along with this Job?

A)if I am not a full time employee !!

b) If full time, but only for the Compant. Can I appear as advocate?

Verify the conditions involved when u appointed. Then u may practise as advocate or not. .

the requisite qualification for law officer should be a law graduate. To file writ and prepare pleadings need experience

Yes. LLB qualification, I am getting in few months. But to choose as Independent Advocate  or company advoacte, is my question, As I am seeing various judgements in this case. Need to  clear my confusion, before taking my decision as an Advocate.

Unless you register/enroll with Bar Council you cannot be termed as Advocate. To enroll or register with Bar Council you need LLB degree from University or Law college.
