Land purchase

I want to purchase land from a seller which he acquired by gift from his father. Beside his land his brothers land is available which his brother acquired in same way. The seller didn't want to sell his land to his brother. When I visited the property, his brother stated that if I purchase the land from seller, then he will go to court to get the land by paying money. Can I further proceed to purchase the land ?

1. IF Gift Deed was duly Stamp Duty paid and Registered AND IF mutation /transfer of land was affected in name of Seller, THEN NOBODY has any right to object or create any legal disputes on the same.
